The 3rd call for proposals for Satellite Navigation research and development under the EU's 7th Framework Programme (FP7) was published on 20 July 2010. This 3rd call will make available €38 million in funding and is open to companies and reach organisations in various areas such as ICT, Transport, Mobility, SME, Security, Electronics and Space communities.

As for the previous calls, the emphasis will be on mature and commercially viable research, with an immediate impact on the market. The EU is open to innovative ideas from the market and especially welcomes proposals from small companies and newcomers to satellite navigation Framework Programmes.

The next round of calls proposals under the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) will be published end of July 2010. In order to support the preparation of proposals, the European Commission's Research Directorate General will hold two 'Information Days' on 22 and 23 July 2010 in the Charlemagne building, rue de la Loi 170, in Brussels. The draft of Strategic Research Agenda 2010 has been presented at the TRA in Brussels on 9 June, and is now open for comments in a public consultation, ERTRAC Strategic Research Agenda 2010. The deadline of consultation is 20 August 2010. Please send your comments and recommendations to info@ertrac.org. Comments will be gathered and used for the finalization of the new ERTRAC SRA.
