ERTRAC position paper on Road Transport Research in Horizon Europe follow-up
In the context of the next EU budget and 10th Framework Programme for Research (2028-2034), ERTRAC is presenting a position paper advocating for the importance of systemic research topics, which will have great impacts towards a more efficient, sustainable, safe and resilient mobility system, and are key for the European economy.
Beside a future partnership for the automotive sector, ERTRAC emphasises that we must dedicate support for system integration and multi-stakeholder innovation challenges, for domains such as urban mobility, logistics, and road safety. Delivering innovation in these fields requires a system approach addressing together the diversity of users, vehicles, and different infrastructures (physical, digital and energy).
