Titled "Future in Motion: Strengthening Road Transport Research", this webinar will provide an in-depth look at how ERTRAC and STREnGtH_M are advancing research and innovation in road transport. The first instalment of the STREnGtH_M webinar series, "Future in Motion: Strengthening Road Transport Research", is set for 3 September 2025, from 15:30 to 17:00 (Brussels time). Organised by POLIS, this online event will dive into how ERTRAC and STREnGtH_M are jointly accelerating research and innovation to support Europe’s shift towards cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable mobility.

STREnGtH_M is an ambitious EU-funded project aligned with the European Green Deal and the Paris Agreement. Running from February 2023 to February 2026, it brings together 23 partners from 10 EU Member States and beyond. Building on the work of the now concluded FUTURE-HORIZON, it acts as a Coordinated Support Action (CSA) for ERTRAC. The project follows a targeted approach to:

• Support the road transport sector through education, training, skills development, standardisation, and business model innovation at the EU level
• Identify and address barriers to deploying research outcomes and improving framework conditions across Europe
• Promote the vital role of road transport through events, conferences, workshops, and outreach activities linked to the Green Deal and the Paris Agreement

This first webinar will spotlight major initiatives such as the New Road Transport Vision 2050 and the updated ERTRAC Urban Mobility Roadmap. It will also explore the latest research and innovation priorities shaping the future of urban mobility across Europe. Check the agenda below:
