CENTREe activities in the spotlight (#2): from mapping research trends to assessing potential for deployment

Following our look at the CENTREe Project's work on the future of road transport research innovation, another strand of the project will focus on how promising research results can move closer to real-world deployment in RTR.

A glimpse into next activities:

1. Assessing selected European research projects and their potential for innovation and deployment in specific areas: Urban zero-emission mobility, Improved air quality, Future road safety, Zero-emission long-haul logistics, Digitalisation of road transport and Batteries
2. Identifying barriers that may prevent research results from reaching the market, developing innovation plans to address such issues
3. Examining the related EU regulatory landscape
4. Developing recommendations to improve deployment conditions, including future funding calls, project reporting, regulation and standards.

CENTREe will connect research results with the conditions needed to turn innovation into deployment.
