ERTRAC in Luxembourg

ERTRAC was in Luxembourg this week, invited by Luxinnovation GIE, to learn about the national strategy and support for Research and Innovation in the field of mobility.

The ERTRAC delegation visited the brand new AutoMobility campus and business incubator in Bissen: a great example of public-private partnership for open innovation and sharing R&D. The delegation also had the chance to visit the company IEE Sensing, a leader in advanced sensing solutions, headquartered in Bissen.

Innovation in sensor technologies is going very fast, with a large field of applications for the automotive sector: for users comfort and safety, and as enabling technologies for automated driving systems. Sensors as enablers for innovative functions!

During the visit on the AutoMobility campus, it was an opportunity to see the automated shuttle from the company Ohmio who contributes to the Stargate - EU Green Deal project at Brussels Airport. When automation of road mobility meets greening of air transport: this is true innovation across sectors!
