Titled "Future in Motion: Strengthening Road Transport Research", this event marks the launch of the project’s brand-new webinar series. Organised by POLIS, the webinar will take place on 3 September 2025, from 15:30 to 17:00 (Brussels time). It will explore how ERTRAC and STREnGtH_M are jointly driving research and innovation to support Europe’s transition to sustainable mobility.
STREnGtH_M is an EU-funded project aligned with the goals of the European Green Deal and the Paris Agreement. Running from February 2023 to February 2026, it brings together 23 partners from 10 EU Member States and beyond. As a support action for ERTRAC, it builds on the legacy of the recently concluded FUTURE-HORIZON project. Among its key objectives, the project aims to:
- Identify future research needs in road transport
- Update and coordinate strategic research agendas and roadmaps
- Facilitate dialogue between Horizon Europe partnerships and platforms
- Address barriers to deploying research results across Europe and internationally
- And more!
The webinar will highlight major initiatives such as the New Road Transport Vision 2050 and the updated ERTRAC Urban Mobility Roadmap. Participants will gain valuable insights into the emerging priorities shaping the future of road transport across Europe.
